About Us
President John T. Raia founded Raia International in 1987 with one goal in mind. He wanted to
provide superior logistics services and solutions to his clients through knowledgeable,
professional staffing and cutting-edge information while still remaining personal to each of
his clients.
Our service, more like a boutique than a department store, gives the client the opportunity to speak to
us between 6 A.M. and 6 P.M. When you call our office, you will not hear "your call is very important to
us" while waiting on hold for 10 minutes or be transferred from person to person while waiting to ask a
simple question. We are committed to real service - not the illusion of service. For example, since the
European Community is 5-6 hours ahead of New York, we begin working at 6 A.M. so that we may
resolve any problems on the same day that they are discovered. This accessibility becomes very
important for the customer when, for example, drivers are detained at the pier for any circumstance.
Because we begin our business day so early, we can address the problem hours before our
competitors are even open. Likewise, we can also contact the Far East at the end of our working day.
To benefit our customers we have members on our team that are fluent in Spanish and Cantonese.
